How to Assign a Network Device Certificate to a Host?

You can assign a network device certificate to a host by setting up the criteria for monitoring certificates.


1.  Navigate to Settings Configurations Certificate.


The Certificate page is displayed.



2. Click the  icon under the ASSIGN column in the row of the host you wish to assign a certificate to.


The Certificate List For (Host Name) dialog is displayed.



3.  Enter/ select the required values in the respective fields.  Refer to the table below for field names and field descriptions.

Note:  All fields with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.


Field

Description

Device

Configure certificate monitoring for types of devices

The options available are 

  • Individual: Allows you to apply certificate monitoring for a single device.

  • Global: Allows you to apply certificate monitoring globally across all devices.

Port

Virtual or physical point for which certificate monitoring is configured

Example: 161, 162

Cert Monitoring

Enter Cert Text

Text or keywords on the certificate to be monitored

Enter Threshold

Specific limit that triggers alerts or actions


4.  Click Submit.

The success notification is displayed and the checkbox under the ASSIGN column is checked.



Note:  Clicking the ASSIGN column checkbox that is already enabled allows you to update the configuration for certificate monitoring.



Make the necessary changes in the required fields and click Update in the dialog displayed.


The success notification is displayed.
